how to map my files to moveinizer
Hi there,
After adding all my movie files to movienizer i see some anomalies. One of them being that I can't find where some of my files have been mapped to in the database. Is there some way to see where each of my files have been match to in my moveizer database? Case in point, only 1 of the 3 transformer movies shows in movienizer and I'm not sure what the other 2 have been mapped been mapped to if any? Follow me?
Cheers and I luv movienizer btw

You can use this plugin to export all titles and filenames from your database. You can also see this information directly in the plugin, without exporting. Most probably some of the files were linked to the same movies as different editions (the best match was the same title for all files).

Re: how to map my files to moveinizer
Thanks Vlad,
I have been using filename checker to find those erroneous entries and tidied up a lot of them. Though there are still some entries that it can't detect and I'm trying to figure out the best way to do so. I thought after filename checker I would be able to do another search through my folders and "add only new files" with the hope of discovering any that had been missed out along the way. Though it is hard to discern which, if any, had been left out of the database as all the movies I checked and corrected with filename checker were showing up in the search results because I am yet to map the specific filename to the movie in database. I then tried using the reports to display all the movies and the locations of the associated files so I could identify those yet to be mapped and do so. But alas I couldnt generate a report to show the filename locations. Any thoughts?
Cheers

Re: how to map my files to moveinizer
hey again,
its ok for now as I've discovered I was using the wrong data field in the report. I shouble have been using "disc_label". I'll map the rest of files and then see if I can find double ups and left out files.

Re: how to map my files to moveinizer
back again,
after mapping all the existing movies in the database to their correct file location correctly I did another search for vidoes that may no be in the database. I was surprised at the large amount it found due to the fact that this was the same folder I scanned the first time. I expected to find a few but a quarter of the collection! I wasn't going to post this occurence as I figured it must have been something I did the first time round, like cancelling the add/update movie function mid way through. But after adding all the movies for a second time and then doing another search it then again found about a quarter of the movies that were added on the second round and I know for sure, because I had just done it, that the movies it listed had already been added. Not sure what's going on but going on history I'm expecting about 25% of the movies I am adding right now to have to be added again.
