Some movie downloads not giving alternate titles
I'm trying to download information for some movies, but the program is automatically choosing a title and downloading that information. I don't have the option to download the first title checked. This is only happening on two titles so far: "The Ghost Breakers" (Bob Hope) and "The Picture of Dorian Grey" (1940's version).
I already had these movies listed in the program, so I was trying to update the entry with the information. The program was grabbing "Felix the Ghost Breaker" for the first. Finally I just started a new entry and it grabbed the correct listing. Now I'm working on the 'Dorian Gray' and the program grabs "Portret Doryana Greya". For many movies, if there are multiple possibilities the program gives me a list to choose. For this title it is just grabbing that other title. I tried the trick of starting a new entry to no avail. I'm using the IMDB and AllMovie scripts for download.
Are there any ideas as to what is going on or how to correct it? Thanks.
Added: Ditto for the movies "Doctor X" and "Return of Doctor X", I get nothing but the Austin Powers movies.

Re: Some movie downloads not giving alternate titles
There may be a difference in the script settings. Please note that there is an "Alternative search" option.

Re: Some movie downloads not giving alternate titles
I have 5.2 ver. 287 (the latest according to the program).
Vlad, I opened the script settings. Working with "The Picture of Dorian Grey", I still get a foreign language title (Portret Doryana Greya) regardless as to whether the AKA or Alternative search boxes are checked or unchecked in any combination. Any suggestions?
Checking just the Alternative search gives good results for "Return of Dr. X" and the others with which I've been unable to download - Thanks!

What do you have in the "Language" area of the imdb settings window?

I have IMDB.com selected and the text box below says to leave blank for English language, which it is.

Re: Some movie downloads not giving alternate titles
If you search for The Picture of Dorian Grey on IMDB, you will find only one result, so there is no problem with the script . You may want to search for The Picture of Dorian Gray instead?

Re: Some movie downloads not giving alternate titles
Tried both of those, so I don't understand why it's pulling the foreign-like title. When the screen indicates what it is search, the title is correct until the last few seconds, then it changes to the weird one. What I would like to know is, why can't I enter the IMDB code for the title and get it to pull by that? I've tried that too, hoping it would over ride any preferences, but it doesn't work (for any title). I think both my computer and this program are now in cahoots to first make me look like an idiot, and now to drive me insane.
