Post Add Movie process is painfully slow
Is there a way to add movies, select the right one, but leave the downloading all the files and info to the end?

Cheers, E

No, but... which version of the program do you use and how much time it takes to download information about a movie?

Hi, it takes 15 to 20 seconds after I select the correct one from the lookup.

Problem is I have around 2000 Movies to catalog and it is too slow. I had been trialling Movie Collector and it allows me to do this so I found it much quicker but I like your interface better.

BTW I tried selected minimal download and it drops back to 12 to 15 seconds.

Cheers, Eric

Do you use the latest version of the program? What script do you use to download information, and what is its version?

Hi, yes I have the latest version, IMDB script 116.

Is there a way to set it to not download much initially, then update with full details for all movies later???

Cheers, Eric

I found in group operations I can select Download, does that re-download on all selected based on the download options at that time or previous?

eg. if I download initially on minimal, then via the group operation download with the selection on full. Will that work?

Yes, this will work. Still, the download speed reported by you is a bit too much :). Full info about a typical movie is downloaded within 5 seconds on my computer.

OK thanks, I am on ADSL, 8Mbps, should that be OK?
My PC is a 980x i7, 24Gb RAM with all SD HD's, spared no expense.

Question, when using group operations, I can't find a select all, ctrl A doesn't work either?? Bit hard to manually select 500 entries otherwise.

Thanks in advance. Eric
