I think this is a missing gap in the script IMDB

lack the technical information of the film

example for this film

The Exorcist (1973)

http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0070047/?ref_=nv_sr_1

http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0070047/tec ... tt_dt_spec

Technical Specs

This is necessary in case of different versions :?:
Runtime: 122 min | 132 min (director's cut)

This is necessary to understand the kind of sound that was recorded :?:
Sound Mix: 70 mm 6-Track (1979 re-release) | DTS-ES (director's cut) | Dolby Digital EX (director's cut) | Mono (original release) | SDDS (director's cut)

This is necessary to understand if the film and in B / W or Color :?:
Color: Color (Metrocolor)

This is necessary to understand the video format :?:
Aspect Ratio: 1:37: 1

why not add this information, it is important for a cinephile :(

I tried to change the script (imdb_movie.pas) but does not work :|

thanks to those who can help me

best solution would be to enter this info (optional, if someone does not want them) in the card where there are the title, director, duration
not comment (think bad solution

There may be different editions of the same movie, so technical parameters may be irrelevant for a particular edition. Normally, such details are added automatically on the "Editions" tab, when you add movies from files or link an existing movie entry to your video file(s).

"Technical Specs" are technical parameters (just another word is used for the same idea). Aspect ratio, runtime, number of tracks - those are the technical parameters that you find on the "Editions" tab of Movienizer. IMDb simply lists technical parameters of various editions, which may be irrelevant to what you have.

While I see where Vlad is coming from, I agree with xbox80 and would like to get the IMDB specs for the original movie - partly for comparison with whatever is in the specific edition(s) in my collection and partly because the original production info is useful in it's own right. Many digital releases (especially older ones) are "modified for you TV" (meaning they do NOT have the original display aspect ratio) or censored/cut (different runtime to original even without PAL speedup considerations) and this is not always obvious without the original production info. This edition specific info goes into the Edition fields but there is no provision in Movienizer as yet for the original Tech Specs.

I'm getting over this by copying the info from the relevant IMDB entry and pasting it into the Earnings field in Movienizer. It's not an ideal solution but it works for me. I would much rather it was included with the rest of the data when downloading the movie entry from IMDB and the Earnings field used for this in the first place. I feel that this Tech Specs info is far more useful than the Box Office/Earnings info anyway.

If people absolutely must have the Box Office info, then the Comments field could be used for the Tech Specs although personally I would rather keep it for general comments.

Technical Specs
Runtime: 80 min | 40 min (DVD) (alternative version) MISSING
Sound Mix: Silent (Silent, Dolby, Stereo, Mono) MISSING
Color: Black and White MISSING
Color: Color MISSING
Aspect Ratio: 1.33 : 1 MISSING

I think these fields are necessary to be included in the imdb script :|
