Weeee well that was fun, I totally screwed up my movie collection/program big time.

Had to uninstall
Download new
Uninstall new
Re install old .exe
Saw my newly database was messed up still
Copied over a database from 2 days ago (thank goodness I did a back up the other day)

I do not want to mess up my collection anymore. So I'm gonna ask first. So basically I see theres ways within Movienizer that you can click a Genre and it will give you a list of all of that Genre. Well I have a ton of TV shows and aside from using my Excel document I'm wondering how do I go about adding a line that makes that specific entry a 'tv show' in which I can edit it on all; so in the future I can click 'tv show' and voila all my TV shows are listed

PS. What I have tried was:

1-Launch Movienizer
2-Click Collection tab
3-Click Genre
4-Right Click and choose 'customize collection'
5-................now heres where I messed up. I typed in 'TV Show' and clicked Add (plus sign) but it didnt create a Genre, it did add something under my collection (list of stuff to search) and for some odd reason there were some shows (that werent TV Shows); right hand side theres a custom field 1, after double clicking its adding a %19 to the current field so I'm stopping

I've tried adding genres he way you did..so I do not know if that is a general bug or a user-specific bug. And I ain'tgonna try and found out

Anyway, pull up any show and go to the edit info tabs. On the 'general' tab there is a green 3 dash thingie to the upper right of the genres box. Click and the "references" window pops up. Genres should be in the drop down box to the right. From there you can add as many genres as you want. I've added TV Series and TV Movies..etc.

YES!!! Thank you very very much. That helped me out BIG TIME!!! But now i have another problem that I will be creating a new thread.

My database says I have like 339 movies but when I click a letter the list is like majorly shorted and I cant figure out why
