Problems with Dune HD Smart D1
Hi, I am experiencing problems in watching movies stored directly on the dune hard disk. When I create the Dune database, I can choose only between smb and nfs. SMB works with the movies stored on my Qnap nas, but it's extremely slow with movies stored in the dune's internal disk. I tried also NFS but I received a message that sounded like "wrong URL". I tried all the three NFS options with same results... I created the dune database directly in the Dune's Hard Disk I am connected to the Dune by Eterneth on the local LAN I tried also to create the Dune Database on the NAS with same results Anybody can help me please? Thanks

Re: Problems with Dune HD Smart D1
Such problem occurs because your Dune player attempts to play video file on its HDD over the network. You should specify "Disk connected to Dune" on the third step of Dune catalog creation Wizard. Please read FAQ for more detailed step-by-step instruction.

Re: Problems with Dune HD Smart D1
Thans for the answer Igor, the problem is I don't have that option in the third step! I can only choose between smb, nfs and nfs tcp... I am running the latest version of Movienizer and my PC is connected to Dune over my LAN. Where I am mistaking?

Re: Problems with Dune HD Smart D1
Please check if there is "dune_folder.txt" file on the internal Dune HDD with "storage_name=DuneHDD" string in it. If not, please create and place it there. If this doesn't help, please send us the path to where you form the catalog and the "dune_folder.txt" file from one of the movie folders of formed Dune catalog containing a link to video file (text file with "media_url=..." string in it).

Re: Problems with Dune HD Smart D1
Hi Igor. I have the "dune_folder.txt" . I copied and pasted what is in it: use_icon_view=yes num_cols=5 num_rows=3 paint_captions=no caption_font_size=small paint_scrollbar=no paint_help_line=no paint_path_box=no text_bottom=60 icon_top=0 paint_icon_selection_box=yes content_box_width=1980 content_box_height=1080 content_box_padding_left=50 content_box_padding_top=50 content_box_padding_right=50 content_box_padding_bottom=50 background_x=0 background_y=0 content_box_x=0 content_box_y=0 background_path=.Service/.listbackground.png Where do I have to insert the string You mentioned in your last post? Re: Problems with Dune HD Smart D1
It seems that you are missing my point. Please show the contents of the "dune_folder.txt" file from one of the movie folders of formed Dune catalog containing a link to video file (text file with "media_url=..." string in it). For example, I can find mine in "D:\ShareFolder\Movienizer\_Movies\Cocoon\Cocoon". I open the "dune_folder.txt" file there and see the following strings: Your first string will be different, please show it to us so we could help you.

Re: Problems with Dune HD Smart D1
Sorry Igor... ok, this is the content of one of the movie I can,t see: media_url=smb://192.168.1.144/DuneHDD_d980deef_496e_4280_8742_77f2a1d40311/Coraggio Fatti Ammazzare.mkv paint_scrollbar=no paint_path_box=no paint_help_line=no paint_icon_selection_box=yes paint_icons=no Actually with SMB protocol the movie starts but after few seconds slows down and stops. With NFS I received the error message. This is a dune_folder.txt of a movie stored on my NAS that I can see without problems even with NFS link: media_url=smb://192.168.1.148/Qnap2/Caccia ad Ottobre Rosso/ paint_scrollbar=no paint_path_box=no paint_help_line=no paint_icon_selection_box=yes paint_icons=no Thanks again

Re: Problems with Dune HD Smart D1
Hi, I found a solution that partially solved the problem above. I recreated the Dune catalogue DIRECTLY in the Dune HDD (not in a folder of the Dune HDD as I did before), then I created a folder where I stored all my video files. Now the "dune_folder.txt" of the movies stored in the Dune HDD is this:
media_url=../../../z.FILM/Coraggio Fatti Ammazzare.mkv paint_scrollbar=no paint_path_box=no paint_help_line=no paint_icon_selection_box=yes paint_icons=no
Now I can open and watch from the catalogue, the movies stored in my Dune. I had to name the movie folder z.FILM to avid having this folder in the middle of the icons of the catalogue.... I still don't have the choice "connected to Dune" in the third step of the creating catalogue wizard. I hope Igor will solve the mystery... Movienizer is great.

Re: Problems with Dune HD Smart D1
We have tried to recreate your problem and it seems like we found a solution. Please make the following changes in Dune player settings: From the main screen go to "Setup" - "Applications" - "SMB Server" and set (type in) "Server name" as "Dune". After that, please delete all your catalogs formed before and create a new one into the one of folders on Dune player. Use "SMB network connection" on the third step of Wizard. Try playing your films afterwards. Everything should work properly now.

Re: Problems with Dune HD Smart D1
Hi Igor, unfortunately I checked and "server name" was already set as "Dune".... The solution I found and described on my post, it's not bad: the only problem is that I can store anything but movies on the Dune HDD to avoid having the catalogue page full of "holes" due to the presence of folders. That's not a big mess. Could be that the problem is the presence of a network folder I created bin the moment the Dune HDD was formatted? You have been so kind and I really appriciated your help.
