Post XBMC Export Plugin (v1.2) for Movienizer v5.5+, v6.0+
This new version of the plugin is to only be used with Movienizer v5.5 and above.
If you're running a previous version of Movienizer, please use plugin v0.88 beta available here

If you're new to this plugin, here is the previous version introduction :

Plugin functionality :
The main functionality is to generate nfo files (built using data from movienizer) for xbmc to import automatically in its library. With nfo files (movies infos) come also .tnb files (thumbs duplicated from covers folder) and -fanart.jpg files which ones are optionnaly downloaded from themoviedb site.
Exported files are created either in the folder of the movie file or in a dedicated folder when movie editions don't point to a media file path.

How to install and run the plugin :
1) To install XBMC plugin, just unzip the XBMCExport.zip in Movienizer plugins directory
2) Start Movienizer
3) Select XBMC Export from Plugins Menu

How to use the plugin :
Should be simple.
You just must have write rights to the folders containing the movies selected for export.

Updating XBMC Library with nfo files :
IF you have set media library to auto update at xbmc startup, things should be updating well.
However, it seems that sometimes update does not refresh all data.
In that case, a two steps fix is to :
- go to video settings screen and run the clean library option
- back to library mode, hit 'c' to get context menu and run a library update

Some more infos in beta version post (link above).

Jef,

That is pretty slick, and fast! Beautiful job. And the sqlite.dll error I wrote so much about with the version 0.88 does not seem to be recurring. :D

In your introduction, you neglected to mention a key feature: This Plugin exports all movie titles in the catalog, whether or not they have a path to an actual file on a drive!

So here is the next question. Is the plugin smart enough to know what movie titles are new, or what movie titles have had the video path changed so that only those titles will be exported?

You're right, i've edited first post to add this information.

This is an interesting idea. I think i'll add that new feature based upon the last plugin run date to select only added/updated movies (relying on add/update date) since the last plugin run.
As before the delay could be... not that short...

Wow. That was fast! Who are you anyway???

Will the last run date include a run that occurred last in version 0.88?

No, as this is a new feature...
I'm currently adding a way (option) to force the last export date... for coming v1.2

Jef,

Please do not write that new feature on my account.

I think I will just delete all of the data from my v.088 export and start again. That is not a big deal. In addition to adding some file paths and movie titles since the last run, think I may have also changed some of the plot summaries of the already exported ones and I have no idea which titles those would be.

Having said that, it seems that, if MN can display the titles by "Last Added" and "Last Modified (or Edited, as the case may be)", then there is a data filed recording this data. Can the XBMC Plugin be made to add all titles either added or modified since a specified date? Both options could be useful.

This is exactly the aim of the new feature in the very soon coming v1.2 : allow to set the date from which all updated (or added) movies are included in selection.

Good afternoon.
If the base is not open because of its inaccessibility. Plug-in interface can not be closed. Screenshot is attached.
