Whoopi Goldberg stars as Deloris Van Cartier, a girlfriend to a mob boss. She accidentally witness the killing of another person. After she runs to the cops, it's decided she needs to hide at a church, with lots of nuns. She tries her best to help get people in the church, by re-ranging the music, to make it popular.
Now the film was nominated for two golden globes, but to be honest it really wasn't that deserving of them, even though it is a great family film. I just don't see it being worthy of a golden globe (Mind you I was like 3, so I don't know if that is actually true, because I don't know anything else that was out during that time). This film was a great family film, and the cast was also amazing, of course Maggie Smith and Whoopi, to be have always been an amazing actor. If I where to give this film rating I would give it 7/10
